Splashing Tetra
These species of fish are called the Splashing Tetra because of their obscure breeding behavior. In the aquarium these fish should have a lid covering it as these fish could easily jump to their death.

Breeding
Sexing: Males have longer and more colorful fins when compared to the females.
When spawning the male and female will leave the water and deposit their eggs on an overhanging leaf. After that the male will splash water onto them to keep them wet and moist. After around two days the fry will hatch and drop into the water. It is recommended that these fish are bred in a breeding tank so that other fish may not eat the fry or disturb the pair whilst mating.
